GREETINGS:

It is with pride and pleasure that I welcome you to the Community Programs of the C.G. Jung Institute of Santa Fe, NM. We are an active group of Jungian Analysts from all over New Mexico who want to share the richness and depth of thoughts, theories, and stories inspired by the psychology of Carl Gustav Jung and our own interpretations of the spirit of our times.

Our theme this year is "Civilization in Transition." It is appropriate that the C. G. Jung Institute recognizes the ebb and flow of time and space in each of us, individually, in our society, and collectively in our universe.

This year of 2011 - 2012 brings the 10th anniversary of 9/11; the withdrawal of troops from war; and a major election, which will further define the United States, the World, and our psyche. The "eWorld, and "iWorld" continue to expand in a breathless rate. We get our books instantly, we don't need to do thoughtful research, we can just tap into "Google" or "Wikipedia". We instantly provide ourselves with our music. We communicate via words on a screen, or virtual sightings of each other. We have become impatient with pauses and delays and the slow pace that thoughtfulness and direct communication requires. We are indeed in transition from timelessness to what I will call "iTime."

Where and how can we, who wish to explore life, death, present and future, and dreams, and inner process in depth, find the individual places and the community to connection with the slowness of hours and days and years, to allow ourselves to take the time to experience in our own beings the connection to soul?

The next years require that we continue individually and in community to search for these lengths of time and meaning in our lives so that we can contribute to the healing of the soul of the world. The C.G. Jung Institute seeks to provide time and place to sink in, sink down to connection with Self and others. Our public programs, our workshops and seminars, our advanced studies program for licensed therapists all provide time and depth, the opportunity to be with the angst, the struggles and the joys of our lives
and our souls.

Welcome to 2011 - 2012.
